About the Opportunity
Flavorite is undergoing a high level of growth & to continue our focus on excellence in all facets of operations, we are looking for a energetic and passionate individual to join our Picking leadership team.
With a passion for developing leaders within our business, the Picking Leading Hand role is a great platform for a committed and motivated applicant to work and develop their career among skilled professionals within the Horticulture industry.
The Picking Leading Hand is responsible for assisting the Picking Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the Glasshouse, as well as management and implementation of the picking strategies in order to achieve budgeted production levels.
Key accountabilities:
- Undertake picking to ensure target times are achieved
- Provide support to Picking Supervisor and staff
- Train new staff at picking as instructed by the Picking Supervisor and apply coaching processes as required
- Driving picking trolley
- Manage the training schedule of all new picking recruits
- Prepare daily work orders in the absence of the Picking Supervisor
- Prepare daily estimates in the absence of the Picking Supervisor
- Undertake stock control in the absence of the Picking Supervisor
- Assist with the development of Picking Standard Operating Procedures
The successful candidate will have:

- A high regard for safety
- A friendly, approachable personality and be open to learning and feedback
- Experience in Horticulture or Agriculture (desirable)
