Job Title Project Management – Director (Public Sector/Government)

What does a successful Project Management Director do at Fiserv:

  • The Project Management Director leads all aspects for a portfolio of Government clients.
  • Ensure the day-to-day operations of all clients run smoothly, e.g., monitor data transmissions, call center performance, card production, etc.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of all operational issues.
  • Function as the SME on operational aspects of the business and product
  • Measure and track service metrics, looking for opportunities to improve.
  • Work on critical initiatives including, but not limited to, external projects, incident response, process improvement, employee training, and developing/maintaining standard operating procedures.
  • Build and analyze data and metrics across the portfolio to manage both the big picture and the details.
  • Manage and report on SLA compliance.
  • Ensure there is collaboration within Client Services, Implementations, Account Management, manufacturing and other functional areas within Fiserv to provide a best-in-class client experience.
  • Participate/contribute to RFPs as needed.

What you will need to have:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working as a Project Manager on IT projects involving public sector (State or Federal) reporting practices and environment
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working as a Project Manager implementing a Fintech offering for a public sector client
  • Experience managing large, complex IT projects spanning a multi-year timeline, and requiring coordination of work between multiple entities and contractors in a distributed environment.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years or more of project management experience in the public or private sector
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on experience using project management methodologies and associated tools and metrics
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on experience in managing software development projects and/or implementations, including the system development phases associated with design through deployment and full client acceptance.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of with experience in communication and relationship management activities with both internal and external stakeholders
  • A current Project Management Professional (PMP) credential from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Previous Operations experience (5+ years) in business and/or technology
  • Strong background in operations and customer service.
  • Experience creating transparent analytics and metrics to share internally and externally.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, multi-task, have strong organizational skills and act as a business owner.
  • Must be able to manage multiple clients concurrently and act urgently to meet deadlines.

What would be great to have:

  • Preferred industry experience in credit/debit, issuing, installment lending, ATM or financial institution experience.
  • Preferred familiarity with processing platforms.
  • Public sector experience.

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, New York or Washington.
