Are you ready to power positive change SUMMARY OF ROLE The Quality Technician will assess and test samples of raw materials, products in process, and final products to meet qualitystandard set by Maxeon. The Quality Technicianwill perform out of box audit and ensures that audit findings are corrected. Performs incoming material audits, line inspections and finished product inspections to assure all products and materials meet or exceed internal and external customer specifications. Reports to the Quality Engineer or Quality Manager and will be responsible for ensuring the products, process, materials, and equipment aligned in current operation program of the company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for conducting per shift Out of Box audit and feedback the results to concerned defect owner and/or stakeholders Responsible for conducting regularly In Process Quality Control per Final Visual Inspector and correct any over rejection or under ejection as necessary Follows standard cell test area procedures and protocols Maintains OBA and/or IPQC record logs and prepares report thereafter Leads process cell defect validation based on set of established criteria Flexibility to perform Dry and Wet Laboratoryactivities: Received samples collectsIncoming Starting materials and In-process products then analyze and evaluates samples to ensure they meet company and customer standards. Inspect, test, or measure samples using metrology tools, as well as operating electronic inspection equipment to ensure that all necessary procedures and product samples are inspected to a high standard. Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, and calling for repairs Maintains accuracy and calibration of laboratory testing equipment Performing routine inspections on laboratory equipment to determine when maintenance is required Flexibility to perform Incoming materials qualificationactivities: Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor. Records inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database such as computer software programs to collect or input data and information Maintains detailed records of the testing that’s been carried out, as well as relevant additional information, and various metrics while adhering to quality and safety programs Accept or reject finished items Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications Conducts inline audit on procedures and processes to ensure specifications and control limits are in place while providing recommendations on the appropriateness of data performed are done according to specifications, protocols, and standard methods Performs other duties may be assigned Complexity: Works on problems of limited scope. Minimum Education and Experience: RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Finished or completed a technical course or Engineering graduate Knowledge in computer, MS (Word/PowerPoint/Excel), Internet and email access. Organized with great attention to detail. Good oral and written communication skills. Documentation skills Competencies Math skills . Knowledge of basic math and computer skills are important because measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications are major parts of quality control testing. Computer Knowledge – The ability to use computer hardware and software to improve productivity and support efficiencies Customer Knowledge – A thorough knowledge of customer products, needs, and opportunities Listening and Responding – The ability to actively listen and respond appropriately, also known as interpersonal sensitivity. Organization Understanding – A complete understanding of the Company organization in which one works, i.e., understanding of formal and informal structures and hierarchies, understanding of politics, knowing who influences whom, and where to go to make things happen. Quality control inspectors must be able to use specialized tools and machinery when testing products. Physical stamina . Quality control inspectors must be able to stand for long periods on the job. Physical strength . Because workers sometimes lift heavy objects, inspectors should be in good physical condition. Technical skills . Quality control inspectors must understand blueprints, technical documents, and manuals, ensuring that products and parts meet quality standards.
