What you will do:

  • Project Development: Focal point for all Quality Assurance matters throughout the project
  • Project Construction (Shop): Ensure that all predetermined requirements (Regulatory, Code, Owner-user, etc.) are being adhered to throughout the construction phase
  • Project Construction (Field): Ensure that all predetermined requirements (Regulatory, Code, Owner-user, etc.) are being adhered to throughout the field installation phase
  • Project Close-out: Ensure that all documentation is in order and that the equipment database (VISIONS) is populated as required
  • Support turnaround inspection activities as required
  • Mentor and support junior inspectors within the organization

What you will bring:

  • Graduate of Mechanical, Materials or Welding Engineering Technology program (or equivalent)
  • API 510, API 570, API 653, Alberta IBPV or IPV certifications
  • A minimum of ten years related work experience in an industrial setting
  • Experience may be considered in lieu of a technologist diploma
  • Extensive working knowledge of the Alberta Boilers Safety Association’s (ABSA) regulatory requirements (new construction)
  • Knowledge of ASME codes (ASME Section VIII Div. 1 & 2, ASME Section 1, ASME B31.1 & B31.3)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
