About you and this role – What you will do in this role

Controls the movement, storage, and shipping of raw materials and finished products, and operations of several subsidiary systems.

Responsibilities – Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role

  • Follows Operating Discipline principles, procedures, and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
  • Ensures operational activities and process performance are aligned with plant and business goals.
  • Uses troubleshooting skills to resolve process related deviations and problems.
  • Support and advise immediate response team.
  • Provide coverage for Senior Technical Advisor as needed.
  • Provide Safe Work Permitting training and support to contract service providers.
  • Maintenance item scope development and project execution support
  • Develop and maintain procedures for safe and effective operation and maintenance of the plant.
  • Act ac Focal Point for key tools and initiatives (e.g., Operations Dash Board, Quality, Red Tag Master System, etc…)
  • Leverage safety lessons learned to improve safe operational performance.
  • Activity coordination for maintenance, turnaround, and project activities.
  • Act as technical coach to contract service providers.

Qualifications – Required education, experience and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves)

  • A minimum of a 2 year technical diploma.
  • 6 or more years of industrial/manufacturing experience.
  • A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in the Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.

Preferred Skills – An expanded list of qualifications that are “nice to have”, but not essential.

  • A working knowledge of Railcar terminologies.

  • Time management.
  • Technical proficiency in use of computer applications and Dow policies and procedures.
