We are looking for a Sustainability Manager for EUDR Compliance to join our Global Sustainability team and to be based in Singapore.

Neste’s Sustainability team is a corporate level function with sustainability professionals based in Singapore, Espoo, Shanghai, Melbourne and Houston. The team is responsible for managing sustainability related strategic initiatives and implementing sustainability into our business.

As Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of renewable feedstock sustainability issues, including palm oil value chain, risk identification & management as well as execution of company strategy for market acceptance and

compliance within the Asia-Pacific Region. In the execution of this strategy rely heavily on engagement and networking skills to convince and liaise with relevant stakeholders, to improve supply chain sustainability, traceability and reputation towards ensuring good feedstock image. This involves managing strategic campaigns, strengthening regulatory tools to enable such improvement within the sourcing area.

Main responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Lead and implement Sustainability pilots and initiatives in the region promoting Neste Sustainability Visions and regulatory requirements e.g. EUDR, CSDDD etc
  • Drive feedstock related legislations, such as the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), compliance with suppliers and enhancing Neste Due Diligence
  • Supplier engagement and improving supplier performance such as but not limited to running workshops, NDPE Policy development, Traceability to plantation, Supplier Management Systems etc
  • Stakeholder Engagement (Brands, MNCs, Suppliers, Government and NGOs)
  • Develop and transform of supply chains in Asia-Pacific region to be sustainable based on Neste standards
  • Drive Sustainability projects and initiatives in the region promoting Neste Sustainability Visions forward
  • Any other tasks as required

Knowledge, qualities & experience desired

Bachelor/Master degree in environmental science/ environmental engineering/ agriculture

management/ sustainable development or associated subjects.

Demonstrated extensive record on leading projects involving diverse teams remotely.

Min 10 years proven sustainability, CSR related experience in International Organization.

Experience in palm oil or related commodities such as Cocoa, Rubber, Tea, etc preferred.

Knowledge of biofuels/feedstock products legislation and regulations.

Must be able to work both independently and in a team. Must be willing to learn.

Availability for frequent travelling

Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills
