Job Description The Analyst Programmer is responsible for delivering quality software development and maintenance services in accordance with the Group’s Software Development Life Cycle standard. The role performs medium complexity software development work under the direction of a Systems Analysts or a Senior Applications Architect. Key Responsibilities Developing and maintaining application software under the direction of a Senior Systems Analyst or Systems Analyst Plans, Develop, test, maintain and debug programs in accordance with the Group’s Software Development Life Cycle Ensures that programs delivered operate according to functional and non-technical specifications Critically reviews programs prior SIT or UAT, to verify consistency and conformance with established coding standards Ensures that programs have minimal defects and have gone through agreed Quality Assurance checks Ensures that programs have minimal defects and have gone through agreed Quality Assurance checks Provide 3rd level production support to investigate and resolve issues meeting service level agreements as required by the business Document procedures on the usage of applications to enable application support and management of computer operations Participate in regular and ad-hoc client management meetings. Keeps his/her supervisor and management appraised of the progress of assigned projects and status of any problems on a regular basis Conduct application performance tuning to ensure performance criteria for the system are met Ensure that software documentation (as per SDLC) is kept up-to-date and released as planned Profession Experience/Qualifications Good analytical thinking and understanding of process streamlining Intermediate knowledge in building a mobile application using Flutter or React Native or Cordova Intermediate knowledge in mobile development for both iOS and Android platform Intermediate knowledge managing App Store and Google Play Store portals for application management Intermediate knowledge and ability to perform functional analysis and investigation apps developed Intermediate knowledge on front-end languages like HTML, CSS3 and JavaScript In-depth understanding of Object-Oriented programming languages like Java and C++ In-depth understanding of the Agile Software Development Life Cycle and been exposed to Scrum projects Knowledgeable in RESTful APIs Knowledgeable in database development using different database SQL tools (e.g., SQL Lite, MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle) Knowledgeable in systems analysis and design Knowledgeable and understands computer concepts in Macintosh Ability to perform code level investigation
