Cattle Herdsperson – Pen Rider Job Details:

We are a family owned and operated 24,000 head feedlot located 20 minutes southeast of Strathmore Alberta. We have been in business for over 45 years and work hard to produce high quality beef for the consumer.

We are currently looking for 2 experienced energetic individuals for the Pen Rider positions.

Duties Include:

The qualified individuals duties will include monitoring the health and welfare of the cattle, administering treatment, sorting and loading cattle, and working with the herd health team on daily tasks as required.

Qualifications:

A strong, solid knowledge of cattle and cattle treatment is a must. Horse riding is required and some equipment operation will be needed.

2 plus years of related experience. Wage is dependent on experience.

We do supply horses, but can accommodate individuals with their own.
