Shift: Day 8: 30am

General Description-Purpose of Role:

The barn worker is responsible for supporting all aspects of the barns. Work involves performing a variety of skilled and unskilled and semi-skilled poultry related tasks in accordance with specific instructions of a well-established routine. Work is subject to general supervision through inspections and review of results of work.

Daily Task

Write Down Water Meter readings, Feed, Inventory, House Temps

Check water nipples 3 times a day

Remove all mortality daily

Blow down house, sweep floors

Check, raise water lines, feed birds as needed

Replace and will water filters and containers

Help with bird placement

Cleans droppings and waste from floor, using broom and shovel, backhoe, or manure-cleaning machine.

Clean fans, cool cell pads (as needed)

Ensure cleanliness of facility

Repair farm buildings, fences, and crates using hand tools

Moves equipment, using wheelbarrow, truck, and cart; or carries equipment from one area to another.

Clean front rollers after manure belts run

Clean back scrapes after manure belts run
