What’s the best part of the Trainee THR programme?

“Every day is different, it is so varied! It includes interacting with clients and learning about different crops, getting outdoors and meeting all kinds of people who are willing to give you the time so you can learn all about the industry!” Hannah Greaves, Former Trainee THR – Hastings

You’ll learn about:

  • Our clients, and how to manage a client base while maintaining excellent customer service
  • Quoting, contracts, systems and processes that support our commercial operations
  • Specialist areas of horticulture as well as, agronomy and various crop sectors
  • Professional relationships with other external organisations
  • Compliance and legislation that plays a key role in the industry
  • The wider PGG Wrightson business, including our Livestock, Wool, Corporate, and Real Estate Business Units.

About the role:

  • Introduction to all facets of PGG Wrightson’s successful Retail Business
  • Full-time permanent role with an 18 month training programme tailored to meet your needs
  • You’ll also work through and complete our in-house NZQA Accredited ‘Academy’ programme to gain a National Certificate in Rural Servicing (Level 4)
  • Candidates must be willing and able to relocate throughout New Zealand upon completion of the Trainee Programme for a permanent role dependent on where vacancies exist.

Why should you apply for the Trainee THR programme?

“Because you get to continually go out with Senior THR’s to meet clients and understand their business and the key role we play in assisting them in achieving their goals” Josh Mitchell, Former Trainee THR – Te Puke

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • Enthusiasm and passion for the NZ horticulture and/or agriculture industries
  • Ability to relate to New Zealand growers and build solid relationships with a range of clients
